In 2017, I held my senior lecturer’s exam lecture (docentf\u00f6rel\u00e4sning).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a 45 minute long lecture, where I introduced the concept of behaviour management and how that relates to animal welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Behaviour management is a melting pot of different perspectives, theoretical frameworks and practical, hands-on techniques. I know, I was in over my head trying to discuss something so diverse in under an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, I filmed it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m guessing you probably don’t have time for a 45 minute lecture. So I divided it into four pieces, thinking that might increase the likelihood that you’ll at least get started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part 1 – what is welfare?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here are the first seven minutes where I talk about how different people prioritize different animal welfare perspectives. When you watch it, think to yourself: “Which of those three welfare perspectives would I vote for?”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
