This little “course” ties in with the Advanced Animal Training course, and I’ve made it separate to clarify that it’s entirely optional – unless you require CEUs, in which case it’s mandatory. 😉
But you should know that data shows that testing yourself significantly increases long-term retention..! 😉
In order to access the self-assessment, click “Take this Course” below, and the self-assessments will be added to your profile.

Sorry I am trying to do the first self assessment (selecting the processes module in the list to the right) yet it continues to take me to this page. What am I be doing wrong?
You’re not doing anything wrong, it’s not been set up correctly…! I’ll see if I can fix it! Sorry!
OK; hopefully it should be fixed now. You have to add the course to your profile, I hadn’t set it up properly! 🙂
Thanks, working now, very nifty quiz. I did use the desktop view on my mobile as the second question didn’t seem to want to select multiple answers in mobile view. Also now all the module quizes for the course are unlocked, not sure if that was intended. Cheers
Yeah, I’ve been a bit lazy setting up that course – it’s so easy to make mistakes when setting those dates. 🙂 Apparently marking the choices can be a bit tricky in some views on some devices… let me know! 🙂
Something happened: the self assessment got jammed, and I felled to this site. I can’t get back. What should I do?
hmm… seems you’re writing this comment from another email address than you typically do? Could that be it? I’ll ask Tobias to get in touch!
I finished the last quiz just now, but it looks as though I haven’t done 3-7 (which I have)? Thank you.
Hmm, maybe I simply forgot to check the off?
hmmm… perhaps you need to “mark complete” too? Can you send me a screen shot of what it looks like? karolina@illis.se
I marked all before I thought of taking a picture, and that might have been it. Hope, you got all my answers?
I’m not seeing any of the individual answers – they’re just for you to assess your retention! It’s only for people who require CEUs that I can look at the student’s profile and see what percentage they got for each module (I won’t see which questions they missed…) But I can see that you’ve taken all the quizzes, yes! 🙂
Okay, good 🙂
The “sort answer” questions don’t work very well on my android phone. Sometimes I can’t drag and drop to the bottom, for example.
hmm… I’ll forward this to the software people! Thanks for letting me know! 🙂
Hi , I have done all of the assessments but is has not registered that I have ? Not sure what has happened, I did the assessment after each module 🤨 can you check for me please .
Yes, they’ve been noted! MIght be that you need to mark complete the course page or the module pages?
I’m trying to go back and redo the quizzes where I did not score 100%. Is there anyway to see what score I got on each quiz? It seems like every time I go to look at a quiz I have to start the quiz all over again.
Thank you.
You were right Karolina, it is tremendously helpful to do the self assessment! I mostly new the correct answer, but was not confident that my answer was correct, meaning more repetition is needed to get it in my long term memory!
🙂 glad to hear that what I think (in theory) actually plays out! 🙂
I really liked the quizzes. I tried to really engage with every question, did my best and then tried to learn the content from your answers. Loved the fact that you explained your answers – nothing is more frustrating than getting something wrong without knowing why (we can all empathise with our animals on that one). Far from helping me to ‘cheat’ I felt like repeating the quiz to raise myself from 50 or 60% to 100% was a really useful exercise in learning and revision. Thank you
Oh, great to hear! THanks! 🙂
How can I see the results for the quizzes that I have taken so far? I want to repeat ones where I have not attained 100% but don’t know which these are! I probably should have written down a list with the marks, but as I haven’t, is there a way that I can see the current marks?
ooooohhhh… Don’t know…? What does it look like if you go into your profile – can you see it there? I can email you a screenshot of what I see from my end (but I’m an administrator so it’s bound to be different)
