This little “course” ties in with the Animal Emotions course, and I’ve made it separate to clarify that it’s entirely optional – unless you require CEUs, in which case it’s mandatory. πŸ˜‰

I do recommend them, though, since testing yourself significantly increases long-term retention! πŸ™‚

I made an experiment and took those quizes before starting to watch the content of the course. And, interestingly, the introduction part was hard but the test on core emotion space – easy. It looks like the free mini series (which I think I watched third year in a row now) cover this material well πŸ™‚

Haha, great to hear that! (also that the intro part wasn’t too easy..!)

Six questions was a comforting number. Not too many, not too few. Initially I did not understand that there might be more than one correct answer. I soon caught on. Lol
I appreciated the opportunity to retake the quizzes. That really lightened the stress factor.

Thanks for the feedback! This is my first try at this, so good to know! Trying to make it non-stressful while still a learning moment. πŸ™‚

I didn’t try the quizzes before I started the course, but I agree with all the other six comments. I’m not at all academic and it’s a long time since I did any formal study, but I enjoyed the challenge of the quizzes. I’ve definitely learned a lot!

Glad to hear that, Janet! πŸ™‚ Writing quiz questions is quite challenging!!

I love quizzes, and I took them all just to be sure. I like this as a method to test yself, and that I have understood and remember the content in the modules! Think they were great, and well explained!
Loved the course!

I liked the quizzes but my initial score was very much dependent on doing the respective quiz after completing the module within a short period of time. For some modules it took over a week for me to complete (due to so many other things happening at that time) and so my retention of information was diminishing. If I completed a module in one go, then did the quiz, my initial score was greater. Why? I’m thinking it is about context and maybe this is why training sessions with my own dog sometimes produce great results and sometime not – providing context for my dog about what we are training for in the moment, not spacing training a behaviour over too much time.

I took the quizzes and didn’t pass them all first time – but I probably learned more from getting them wrong πŸ˜‰

My only concern was that when checking the answers sometimes it wasn’t immediately obvious what the correct answers should have been – the question about the emotional states more likely to be exhibited by females was one example, another was the diseases associated with emotion.

Hi Nicola, and thanks so much for the feedback – will look into this for the iteration of the course! πŸ™‚

I like the quizzes. I always learn something I didn’t pick up on my way through the course πŸ™‚
Drag and drop – I suggest you adjust the width of the columns. I had to get creative to get one answer to drag to the bottom because it was off my screen. The rows were really large because the explanation was in a narrow column.

Thanks! unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do about that except report the issue back to the developers of my Teaching application… which I will! πŸ™‚

I did not take the right answers immediately, sometimes the language barrier did it hard. But as someone above said, to not now everything at start made me read more about what I had missed or misunderstood. Thank you.

Thank you Karolina. I really enjoyed this, I have had a huge gap between when I did some of the modules and when I did the tests due to my huband being ill but I was surprised how much I remembered and I really enjoyed this course. I am looking forward to doing your course on training next.

You’re welcome Moira! Looking forward to seeing you in another course, then! πŸ™‚
